November Update

Here are some highlights from the last few months:

PRAIRIE VILLAGE ARTS COUNCIL EXHIBIT, SEPTEMBER 2017

Back in September, I was honored to be apart of a Two-Artist Exhibit (along with artist Rachel Williams) at the Prairie Village Arts Council's Gallery. During the Opening Night Reception, we were able to engage in relaxed, arts-encouraging conversations with patrons and council members alike. It was a treat to connect with Rachel as well as the event coordinator, Ada Koch, who is also an accomplished artist herself.

ARTSKC, SMALL WORKS SHOWCASE, October - December 2017

Through the Small Works Showcase, ArtsKC features over 150+ original works of art from Kansas City artists that have been supported by ArtsKC through the Grant-Making program and the Now Showing program. All artwork needed to be 10x10 inches and priced under $250.

I am very delighted to be apart of this project. I attended the Opening Reception and found myself very inspired and enriched by the variety of talented artists whom I have the privileged to exhibit alongside.

"NOW SHOWING" PROGRAM AT AMAI ARCHITECTURE, NOV. 2017 - JAN. 2018

Through the ArtsKC Regional Arts Council, this month marks my 5th opportunity as a Now Showing Program artist. This time, I'm showing at the AMAI Architecture firm in downtown Kansas City. When I was installing my artwork, the coordinator from AMAI told me they were so excited to have me because apparently they had been on a wait-list for me to show in their facility. That was so nice to hear!

CRAFTY IN THE BOTTOMS FAIR - November 3, 2017

I had a very enjoyable and relatively successful day and the “Crafty in the Bottoms Fair”, located in the up-and-coming West Bottoms. I love this area and hope to have a studio and/or gallery there someday, so I was very excited to have my first "connection" with this area through a wonderful and new creative space down there called The Create-It Studio (which is a "DYIers playground"). During the fair, I sold some pendants, booked a class with The Create-It Studio, made some creative connections and was also able to encourage a young artist with some practical advice.
