I wrote this poem "Feathered" in 2013. The background image is a close-up of one of my painting, "Wings are for Flight".

When I was in my early thirties (around the year 2000) I found myself becoming rather paralyzed by the opinions of other people. It finally got so bad that I felt I needed to seek counseling so I could figure out the root of this problem and overcome it.
