Art Story: "New Life" - Allowing Time to Create Layers of Beauty

"NEW LIFE" 2019 BY NANCI STOEFFLER

After living in Missouri for 10 years, I unexpectedly needed to move back to Indiana to take care of some family matters. The first blue layer of this painting I created while I was still living in Missouri and the remaining layers of green I finished after I moved back to Indiana in 2019.

I love the history of this painting. The first layer of blue incorporates the 10 years of living in Missouri, which serve as a “parent” to the new life I will encounter on this next leg of my life’s journey which unexpected has taken me back to Indiana for a while. Every time I look at it, my spirit is lifted! And to further the beauty of this painting’s story, it was purchased by a wonderful counseling center in Whiteland, IN which has the same title as this painting, “New Life”! How providential!

So, wherever you are on your life’s journey, God has plans for you – there is a new life to be found, as He weaves your past and into your future with beauty – no matter the struggle, the uncertainty, or the joy!
